Entry fee will be $5 and must be paid in cash at the time of signup. Sign-ups will take place on con day. Please arrive 15 min earlier than the scheduled start time in order to sign up. We will be on a tight schedule, so if you are late, you most likely will not be able to participate.
**Ideally, grand finals will be played at the mainstage with live commentary assuming venue equipment is able to accomodate such.
-3 rounds, 99 time limit, double elimination
-A set (best 2 out of 3 matches) will be played to determine who advances. Grand finals are best 3 out of 5.
-Loser of the previous round may change characters; however, winner must stay the same character ("arcade-style") for the following match.
-In case of a power outage or other malfunction, the round that was interrupted will be replayed with the same characters.
-There will be NO refunds on tournament entry fee unless you have not played -any- of your matches. If you have already participated in the tournament in any way you will not be eligible for a refund.
-BRING YOUR OWN CONTROLLERS/ARCADE STICKS. There may be some controllers available to use but we cannot guarantee it and will not be held responsible for the condition of said controllers. You are responsible for ensuring that whatever controller you bring is in good working condition.
-Please show good sportsmanship. If you have a dispute over rules or results, bring it up in a respectful manner with the person in charge.
-If you are expecting a match please stay in the tournament area and pay attention. Should you fail to report to your matches you may be disqualified without refund.
-Custom control configurations must be set BEFORE the match! You cannot restart halfway through because you did not check your control settings.
-The bracket will be seeded according to current local rankings. Unranked players will be seeded as "random". We will try to accomodate seeding requests/disputes as best as possible while considering overall fairness of the bracket.
-Usagi-Con reserves the right to change or modify tournament rules, schedule, fees and prizes as needed.
